Socrates was a familiar and upsetting figure in classical Athens, always asking troubling and seemingly unanswerable questions. His friend Aristophanes wrote a biting satire about him running a school which turns logic on its head.

In its modern version of the play, the Genesius Guild turns the citizens of Athens and Socrates himself into objects of farce. This final show of the season is an irreverent romp, poking fun at people and institutions we all recognize, and ending in a frantic “Mack Sennett” fiinale.
